If the video doesn't begin to play after pressing "play", complete the following steps before contacting support:
You may experience playback issues if you are running an AdBlocker browser plugin. In this case, the only solution seems to be fully removing the plug-in. Disabling your AdBlocker will not fix playback issues.
I did everything their but my video still doesn't play. it doeskin matter if i use Google chrome or internet explorer or Firefox. it wont play
All my other bliptv videos are playing fine, however I uploaded an audio only file (podcast) and it plays in my Dashboard, but once embedded it just won't play. I have tried the suggestions and don't have any kind of AdBlocker installed. Ideas?
My latest video isn't playing at all. I have it linked and it's still not loading. It's just loading forever and never starting. I watched it fine last night, even on the site it's embedded. My audience is so frustrated. :(

Ok tried everything that has been wrote above, no matter which browser I use the videos won't play. It was fine yesterday which is odd. I just get the loading/buffering spinning circle thing in the middle of the screen for ever.

I have the same problem, since a couple of days ago whenever I try to play a video it never loads. I have tried all the steps above and don't have an ad blocker.
We've narrowed this down to an issue in the UK which should be resolved very shortly. Sorry for the inconvenience.
I am also having this problem and I am located in the U.S. Videos play fine in the quicktime container but using flash or html5 they never begin. I believe this may be ad related, but I have followed all the steps outlined above and experience the same problem consistently in 3 different browsers on osx.

Has anyone found a resolution for this problem yet? My videos were fine a few days ago, now there is nothing - just a black box with no controls. I tested a selection of random videos to see if it was just me, but every show page I visited had the same problem.
If I load the source video it will eventually begin to play, but it takes about 10 minutes. I have tried using Chrome and IE, I have cleared the cache, restarted the browser, restarted the computer, and don't have any ad blocker software.
Any additional insight and/or solutions would be a beautiful thing.
For the past two days I can't get any videos to load, no matter the producer on blip. I've followed all instructions listed including removing adblocker. Also, I have diabled firewalls, plugged directly to the modem, reset the modem and tried three different browsers with no result.
I'd appreciate some input.
Dudes, I just made this account to respond, because no one seemed to know what that hell is happening. This worked for me, hope it works for you.
If you have McAfee, that shit of an antivirus, you have to go to Firewall, NetGuard and disable that piece of shit. If you do not have McAfee, check your own antivirus provider's options and tweak the settings, I am positive that the antivirus firewall is blocking the advertisement and if that is not shown, the video will not load, which I think is stupid. But...
Try it, I am sure that is your same problem.

@Fire Ray: sorry to hear that you're having trouble watching videos! If what Tony Diaz suggested doesn't fix it for you, send over some URLs where you can't watch videos, along with your browser, OS, and Flash version.

I have the same problem after trying lots of different videos with any browser I could find...
Something MUST have happened on your side or on browser-/flash-level, because everything worked fine and I'm visiting your site from my computer at work which wasn't updated or anything from that time when everything worked (except for browser and flash versions).
All the steps above didn't help, and I don't use McAfee.
Trying to fetch the videos directly from the server as *.mov or *.m4v-file doesn't work either, since I'm not allowed to... This is very frustrating!

Hello, I signed up to report the same problem. So, after I press "play", I get constant looping and videos never starts (I tried many). Everything forked fine until few weeks ago. Also, at my work everything works fine, but computers there hasn't been updated recently with new version of flash player.
I use Windows 7 32-bit, videos don't work on any browser (Chrome, Firefox, IE, Opera), I have the most recent flash version (11,3,300,257)
Up until a few days ago Blip videos were working fine for me. Now whenever I hit play I get the audio of the ad and that's it. No visuals at all and none of the actual video. I've tried following the steps above but they have not worked.I have tried this on chrome, ie, firefox, on windows, and chrome, firefox and safari on mac. But still no joy. Java and flash player are up to date on both.
I have the same problem as Siobhan, the audio for the commercial plays but the video does not show. I too have tried it on all the major internet browsers and have updated Java and Flash Player. To give you a clue on how to fix this when this issue started on the 16/07/2012 I found that if I got a different commercial if I refreshed the video enough then it would play the video and I'd be able to watch the entire video. However, now there is only 1 commercial I can get playing and the video does not come up but I do get the commercials audio.
I also have the same problem as Siobhan and Mr Smith Peter with the commerical audio playing only. I have also tried everthing and the videos have only stopped working recently. I'm from Australia if it is a regional issue.
Well it is working again now on all browsers. It fixed itself. However, It seemed to be fixed when blip decided to play a new Australian commercial (the Cadbury chocolate one).
I cannot play videos on any browser myself. All I see is the loading circle when I press play. I've tried other browers. Tried restarting the system, turning it off and turning it on, everything. I did something similar to this on another computer but suddenly started working after an Ad was activated. Then it stoipped again when I got back on my home computer and it still doesn't work. I live in Canada and I can't watch any videos on blip period it's really frustrating and annoying. Can you please help me?
I'm having the same problem, and I'm in Canada too. It worked fine yesterday and nothing has changed or been updated on my end. I tried different browsers, different computers, reconnecting to the ISP. No luck. Now that I see another Canadian having the same problem I'm wondering if it is a regional thing.

with how the player's acting ( player loads but then im stuck with the spinning ball forever) it kinda reminds me of how video sites that block ip address from outside of their own county show up ( ex. hulu) . hopefully that's not the case

I can confirm that the usage of an ad-blocker resolved this issue. I would guess the problem lies on the site end while trying to enable ads. Do get back to me once the issue is resolved so I can delete the ad-blocker software.
The videos are working fine for me now without an ad blocker.
Back to the loading ring of doom again now. Rats.

3 Different providers/methods: Rogers (Cable), Rogers (3G Internet USB Stick), Point-to-Point (point-to-point wireless using terrestrial satellite dishes).
Grudgingly installed ad blockers, neither fixed the problem.

Have not been able to watch any videos (on blip or through thatguywiththeglasses and it's affiliates) since Friday (August 17th) night. Tried in both Firefox and Internet Explorer, updated my Flash player, nothing has worked thus far. Like a few other posters I am located in Canada
Fantastic suggestion, thanks Adrian. I'll keep my eyes peeled here for the next week for news that the problem has been fixed, so I can re-enable the ads. While I don't care for ads, I know that they are what keeps my favourite reviews, etc. going, and heaven knows I love internet personalities!
I am also having the same problem. I'm Canadian, have been trying to access That Guy With The Glasses and related videos but have had no luck. Actually there was a point today where it did work, but then it went back to not working again. If the issue was related to an IP ban outside the USA, wouldn't a proxy circumvent the issue? I also really don't want to install an adblocker. Oh and I'm using Firefox and I just reset anything(not sure if the cache was included).
I too am Canadian (Ontario) and was trying to access ThatGuyWithTheGlasses videos and was unable to do so. I came to the Blip site and also tried with no lock. I uninstalled and reinstalled my flash, rebooted my machine with no luck. One video on the site:http://blip.tv/q-tv/bbc-sound-of-2012-winner-michael-kiwanuka-in-studio-q-6259063 does seem to work. Is there some ban on US content in Canada? I have tried Google Chrome and IE9.
Added the Chome Ad blocker add-on and the videos do play now. Would like to remove this, I am willing to watch the ads to support the artist that bring us these web series. Blip, please fix soon.
I keep getting the same loading spiral that everyone else seems to be from Canada, and I have cleared my Cache, browsing history and cookies every time, and they come back for one part of the day, then the next time I come back to it they stop working again. And I even go back to the same video's I watched earlier, like http://blip.tv/at4w/at4w-jla-act-of-god-part-3-3591671 and the Video works fine, then when I go to check it, it doesn't load. I too am from Canada, and I manage to notice one of the things it tries to load when i bring up the page... I think it said www.Cheatbeat.com I'm not entirely sure, I hardly look at those paged cause of how fast they scroll by, but maybe there's something to it? Also, I don't have any adblocker installed into my Firefox, and I use AVG for Antivirus.

No addons of any sort on Firefox to interfere. Drive crashed this week, and had to reinstall OS. Was figuring the video issues on blip where because I hadn't had the right codec installed anymore, until I found this thread. I am in Canada as well. IE refuses to acknowledge the videos exist (Flash player doesn't even load there), but I think that may be an issue with the fresh install instead of whatever is causing the loading failure.
Attempted connecting using connections from both Bell, Teksavvy, Rogers and a direct backbone link, with no change. My guess is the ad is region blocked to Canada (product is probably not available here or something), and is failing to failover to another ad, and the player gets confused and sits down to try to figure things out.
The title cards do load, so there is communication between me and the blip servers, it is the ad that is screwing up.
We experienced an issue with a 3rd party pre-roll advertisement that caused playback issues with certain videos over the weekend into this morning. We have suspended this pre-roll ad while we investigate further. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Seems to still be an issue despite Blip's blocking of that guilty preroll ad? Any reason why this would cause issues on shows that have preroll disabled? The preroll should never be called, no?
There still seems to be a problem with the Videos, because after watching only two videos yesterday, I can't load anymore of them. There must be something else going on that might be, I don't know, maybe Region locking videos in Canada?

Wait, I just noticed on http://thatguywiththeglasses.com/videolinks/thatguywiththeglasses/n... that there are new video players that are different to what they use to look like. Could the problem be in the conversion to the new video player format and causing things to go wrong? I never noticed it before because I always looked at all the videos on Blip and not on the actual website.
The Video player on the blip.tv still have the look of the Old players, but with the Love button on it.

Just a quick update: installing AdBlock worked, videos are playing now. So it presumably IS the same issue as before in Canada.
