Is it possible to incorporate closed captioning for the deaf and hearing impaired into each video during upload? At the moment, we are adding the caption within each as we edit them.
Thanks in advance.

Hi CraftyLion,
The blip.tv player supports closed captioning in .SRT or .TT format. Just upload your file as a secondary format on the Edit Episode page.

Hello,
We have tried implementing caption on one of our video for trial ...we could get caption working very easily and even the fonts are nice ...but the problem with it is that it almost merges if the background is white ..chk below link
http://blip.tv/file/4786508
We had generated the .srt file from http://www.universalsubtitles.org ...the preview player on universal subtitiles have very good way of showing subtitle ..they have translucent background behind the subtitles...please see below link
http://www.universalsubtitles.org/en/videos/PlH0DGHVqT6f/
.can blip's team, please try to make it like that or something so that the text can be easily read on any color on video .... ..and that will make it easily readable and comfortable for eyes...
Waiting to hear from blip for this .....
Regards,
Jinesh
Agreed. We're doing government video and Section 508 compliance is important, not to mention by Presidential Executive Order - mandatory for federal gov't. online content, including video. Captioning on Blip is OK, but could be vastly improved..some player setup control over display font, font color, and/or color underlay that the CC text sits on would help tremendously to make the captions more readable and ultimately more accessible. Or at least a a bare minimum update the way it displays now to have some sort of solid or semi-transparent background color to it so the text displays more clearly. Thanks!
There have been several posts regarding closed captioning over the past year or so (http://support.blip.tv/entries/260940-subtitles-for-blip-tv-player, http://support.blip.tv/entries/459011-closed-captioning-for-the-deaf-and-hearing-impaired, etc). All of them raise the same issues:
So far, no one from blip has responded or given any indication that they are working on this issue. Whether intentional or not, blip is giving impression that accessibility is simply not a concern of theirs.
