Making a playlist is a handy way to make an embeddable, multi-episode player!
To share your new playlist, head over to http://blip.tv/dashboard/players and click "Embed" next to your player. Choose "Playlist" from the drop-down, select your playlist, and copy the embed code:
If you'd like your embedded player to begin with your new playlist, head over to http://blip.tv/dashboard/players and configure your player as shown below:
... and you'll get a player that looks like this:
Another way to add a video to a playlist is on the episode's Edit page (or during the upload process):
I had no idea we could do this -- THIS IS FANTASTIC! Thanks. John McConell
Hi, I've submitted a request about this, buy may be you can help me. I've created a playlist and a custom player, but the thing is that I need to have the episode description in the playlist so viewers can choose the one they want. ¿Is there any way to have that info in the playlist? Something like removing the episode rating from the playlist and showing the description there... Thanks!
Hi Info - that's not something that is user-adjustable at the moment, but we've added it to the list of feature requests for our team to consider. Thanks!
FYI - this does not work with iOS devices at the moment. See:
Hi timc - You're correct. We'll update the article to reflect this. Thank you.
My embedded playlist shows a grayscreen with "Episode" rather than a thumbnail from the playlist. Is it possible to change this?
@Rb - can you send us the link where your player is embedded? You can create a support ticket if you'd prefer.
Apologies if we're missing an obvious answer to this question, but: in the original "how to create a playlist" video, there's a built-in "Share Playlist" option within the Episodes page of the Dashboard. That option no longer exists. If we have multiple playlists, where do we select which of those playlists can be shared within a player? (The Manage Players page doesn't seem to offer a choice among playlists, unless we're missing something.)
Hey Baristas, you're right... here is how you should do it now (I've edited the original post to add this info):
